This is a pavilion designed for small acoustic music performances in Copenhagen. My goal in this project was to pursue simple purity in concept and form. It came together in a slightly skewed glass box set inside and gently pulling away from a rectangular structure. The box was shaped according to acoustic concepts. No walls were are parallel and then the glass is supported by vertical columns of wood that further break up the sound. This creates an acoustically live space for acoustic performers while preventing any slap from repeating sounds.

The pavilion was also designed to be a part of the 2010 Copenhagen conferences and had to be temporary. I designed a clip system so that this project could be built entirely out of basic unfinished lumber and then more than 75% of the wood could return just as it came, uncut and with no holes.
